Extruder Machine
Piston/Ram extrusion: the process of using high force to push material through a die to create a profile, including simple cylinders and tubes, as well as complex honeycomb substrate shapes. A wide range of materials can be extruded, including but not limited to powdered ceramics, metals, and polymers. Loomis Piston/Ram Extruders are available from 16 Tons (Lab Extruder) up to 1200 Tons and above. Our Piston/Ram Extrusion Presses are available in many combinations of tonnages and material cylinder diameters and lengths, allowing us to tailor our design to your requirements. There are several available extrusion orientations, including variable horizontal to vertical, fixed vertical, fixed horizontal, and horizontal with side swing. Isostatic Pressing
Isostatic pressing: the process of shaping powdered materials such as metals, ceramics, refractories, polymers, and clays into various shapes and sizes using high pressure, resulting in very high and uniform density parts. Our product line includes Wet Bag and Dry Bag Isostatic Presses, available in various sizes and pressure ratings. All Loomis vessels are ASME certified.
